pompins and eyetacks

I covered the craft room tack board with fabric the other day, and now it wants new pins too. The idea of gluing pompoms to plain old pins was stolen from a similar thing I saw in a shop somewhere (those ones had giant pompoms). The teeny ones are little dressmakers pins.

The googly-eyes tacks just occurred to me as a funny idea when I happened to see them near the pompoms at the craft store. I think I might glue some to magnets too and put them all over the fridge. They're waaaaatching youuuuu.

Both use this nifty metal glue I found in the scrapbooking section of the craft store. In the past when I've glued stuff to tacks, it hasn't stuck very well. So far the eyes seem really secure, though the pompoms pull off without too much effort.

Very resourceful and cute idea. The eyes wig me out a little but it did make me smile.

Cute! I like the idea for googley eyed magnets - just what I need when I'm trying to sneak a treat out of the fridge. :)

So cute! I may make some little eyes and put them on the fridge. They may be better deterrents than a photo of a skinny model.:-)

I love the googly eye tacks! Now I just need a cork board. :)

Um I have a feeling if I tried that I would probably have pom poms and fuzzies all over the place but you make it look so easy! One at a time and most importantly take your time right? So cute!

Pompoms add cheer to anything. I've been sewing some on my daughter's curtains. I think they'll look sweet too.

I love the eyeball ones! Also, I tagged you! I can't wait to see your answers.

that looks like it could get addicting. I would be running all around the house looking for things to glue down!

ETA: these really didn't hold up *at all* to actual use, but a different glue would probably work.
