trim box

Felt box from this book to hold all my binding. I'm out of felt or else I would've made 2 (there's more trim where this came from).

Ever noticed the little special offer on the Wright's packages? Send in 3 labels + $4 and get a "generous package" of trims. I've always been curious about what you get, but I've never tried it. I'm sending my $4 in tomorrow, so I'll let you know in 6-8 weeks.

Two questions:
1. What kind of felt did you use, is it stabalized?
2. can you read japanese??! I really like the ideas in Japanese craft books, but I can't exactly put two and two together, let alone japanese...

Love the boxes and everything else you do!

i've gotten the wright's scrap trim package and it's pretty cool. i'm a sucker for mail in offers.

I've never seen that offer. I'm going to go grab some labels right now and send that in. I like the little box you made. I'll have to try that too. Thanks for sharing.

I've never noticed the offer, but it sounds very intriguing. You felt box is so cute and tidy. A lot better than a drawer filled with a knotted mess of trim.

Oh, that Wright's trim pack is fun---you're gonna love it. After all who doesn't love to get a parcel of surprises in the mail! I've ordered it many times over the years (guess I should say "decades") beginning way back in the 60's when I was a little kid and it cost only 25 cents! I love your blog and visit most days to admire and be inspired---thanks!

That's such a gorgeous box! I have been after that book for a while, it looks like it has some great storage ideas!

What a great holder! Thanks for the link to Wrights, I may have to check that out. I'm a sucker for surprises like that.

That's a lovely handy box!

I've been using tons of Wright's piping for cowboy shirts but no label offers lately...boo hoo. Used to get them for 25c and use them on the Barbie clothes oh so many years ago. Your projects are so fun. It's nice to see someone who also has way too many ideas. (CAN you have TOO many ideas???)

I never noticed the special offer. I'm interested to see what you get. love the fabric box!!

I never knew about the free offer before but it sounds like so much fun. I'm doing to go through my bias tape and look for labels to send in.

Never noticed that offer either...sending off my labels...thanks!

I tried to do the Wrights thing and noticed there was no address to send my money to! I had to call them, then I promptly lost the address. Sigh.

that's a great idea, i always get all kinds of crazy trims at second hand stores and never know how to store it. :)

I agree (it looks like I'm the third reader!) that the trim package is fun, sure you will like it, has a good variety of trims. I too ordered one years!! ago when it was free w. the labels and loved it.
