weed garden skirt
How could I not do an embroidery project, right? Machine embroidered grass and stems, felt leaves and flowers, plus, of course, the buttons. I decided to take the button-flower thing literally and chose my flowery-est buttons. The picture is not picking up the 2 layers of grass embroidered in darker greens. :/ My husband offered some very good opinions on the design, and it's sooo much better for it. Thanks Mark!

THis turned out so great! I love those flowery buttons. Now I really need to get a button going. The ones I have so far as so sad and boring! THanks for the great idea!

That is really great - the flowers are perfect! It reminds me of the fact that I always wish my daughter's clothes came in adult sizes... seems like kids' clothes do a lot more in the fun embellishment department!

that is so cool!! Does the 'grass' go all the way around? How about making it in a maternity style? (I'm preggers right now, lol) :D

This is SOOOOO lovely!!! I'm totally into buttons lately, too! This project is super cute - I may have to put this on my incredibley long To Do... list!!!
