Crafters Coast to Coast

Oh boy, a new craft show: HGTV's Crafters Coast to Coast. The one episode I've seen so far was promising. Kind of corny production values, but some decent projects. There was one part with a knitter/felter named Betsy McCall (after the paper doll? what a great name) that was pretty cool. She compared needle felting to tattooing. I fully expect to see some of the bloggers I read pop up on TV.

[edit: Here's Betsy McCall's webpage. I should've thought to look at the HGTV website.]

I just love every thing about this show. I have been awaiting you for too long. I'm not saying that there isn't a good craft show out there, but Crafters Coast to Coast is the best. I work from 9-5 and my tapes are taping when my work clock says 5 p.m. Its very educational for anyone who wants to start a business or someone who feel they're crafty or less crafty. The only thing I would suggest is that you have a marathon on HGTV on a Saturday so I can be much happier than watching my VCR tape over and over again. Thank you who ever came up with such a great idea.

Oh, my gosh! I just love this show... it has inspired me to do so many new things. I have actually started a small business doing mosaics/glass works inspired by your show... thanks for supporting those of use who love crafts!

I also love this show. I am a crafter also and I try some of the things on there. I to think it should be an hour. There has to be lots of crafters out there that you haven't talked to yet.

I was featured in an episode of crafters coast to coast. I did the felted pear. Thank God they didn't make me say or do anything corney. Believe me they tried. I wish that they didn't make all of the wonderful crafters act that way! My friend at www.studiogg.com will be featured on That's clever (but I think they will be changing that name also) She said that they also fed her some dialogue that she normally would not say.

I enjoy the crafts but I HATE THE BOUNCING AROUND CAMERA SHOTS. It looks like someone just got a new movie camera and don't quite know how to use it yet. Just leave it on what is being made please.
I just watched jewlery made and I want to know where can I get the tools. I have worked with this resin before but this gave me direction. How do I find out to reach this crafter. I was watching cara markowitz in New Your March 34,2006. Loved what she did. Please help me.I carved a leaf on my husbands gun then he poured the resin in to look like a floating leaf. Very pretty.
Thank you Judy Kelley

Crafters Coast to Coast could be good but the camera work is enough to make me nauseous! All that jerky quick cut editing makes it almost impossible to watch! Its too bad cuz theres some good things..it doesnt do the artists any favors either and really is so annoying I end up turning the channel!!

I love the show I just wish the crafters didn't ask so corny all the time or are they just trying to be cute?
