paper wallet

After a hiatus, I'm back up to my craftiness. (My thesis is out of my hands now, for a while anyway.) My little sister just graduated from college and is seriously in need of cash, so that's what I'm giving her as a gift. But how boring is a check in a card? I remembered a Martha article from a few years ago (December 2000, I think) about wrapping money. She had a cute wallet made from paper, which I modified. It turned out pretty well. I sewed all the layers together on my sewing machine, but it's still fragile. I doubt it will last long, but it's good for giftwrap.
